Apr 07, 2017 The director of Chrono Trigger posts an image of a Nintendo Switch on Twitter with a caption that teases a new game for the innovative handheld/console hybrid.

Chrono Trigger is the single finest achievement of the 16-bit era, and one of the finest games across all recorded time. You might think I'm being hyperbolic, but I'm not. Chrono Trigger is just perfect, and I cannot possibly recommend it enough. It's part of Green Man Gaming's Square Enix Japan sale going on right now. You can pick up Chrono Trigger for just $7.50 right now.
But there are plenty more chances to save on Square Enix games, including newer releases like Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age, I am Setsuna, and more.
Square Enix Japan Sale at GMG

If I were only going to buy one game through this sale, it would be Chrono Trigger. I don't know if I made that clear enough. I have the DS version, so I don't really have any need for it on PC, since they're basically the same, but also, it's $7.50 for one of the greatest games of all time. If you don't like the 'updated graphics,' you can switch to the classic SNES style, which is the best way to play.

Final Fantasy Games on Sale at GMG
Final Fantasy is one of my all-time favorite series. I'm playing through Final Fantasy 9 on Nintendo Switch right now, for the first time since I played it on PS1. Unfortunately, it's not part of this sale. What is on sale, however, is Final Fantasy 8, which isn't getting any Switch love right now. The old Final Fantasy games from the 8- and 16-bit eras are also here in their PC versions.
